Rosewill Stallion RD500-2DB
Rosewill Stallion 500W power supply has really nice design. Complete review is inside this article. First of all, I brought it through newegg. I was very happy with the shipping. I paid 44.99$ for that power supply, but it is also has 20$ mail-in rebate. So if the rebate actually works, I got pretty good deal, only 24.99$ for 500W power supply. I liked the package contents and the way it was packaged. All you need is in the black cartoon box. The power supply comes with manual and power cord. The manual is very neat and its in color instead of most black and white manuals. The Rosewill's power supply type is ATX v2.2. The maximum power is 500W, which is more than enough for most computer systems. The power supply is equiped with 2 8cm ball bearing fans. Like most modern power supplies. Rosewill RD500 - 2DB has PCI Express connector available. Connectors: 1 x 20+4Pin Main Connector 1 x 4Pin ATX12V Connector 1 x 8Pin EPS12V Connector 2 x 6Pin PCI-Express Connector 6 x 4Pin Peripheral Connector (Quick-release) 2 x 5Pin SATA Connector 2 x 4Pin Floppy Connector There is no Nvidia SLI Support There is no Modular Cabling Support There is too much wires coming of the power supply. It was took some time for me to hide all of it behind 5.35" bays. On Peripheral Power wires there are some buttons that supposed to be good for connecting and disconnecting all the time. From one side, its a good feature because with my old power supply it took me 5 minutes to disconnect wires. But when I tried to boot my computer second time with this power supply, it gave me an error saying that it is unable to boot up my harddrive. So I had to open my computer case and reconnect the peripheral power wire to my harddrive. This "button" feature is good for connecting it to another peripheral power wire, but not to harddrive, dvd drive, etc. The power efficiency is only >65%, which is pretty bad. Nowadays there are many power supplies with >80% power efficiency. Rosewill offers 3 year warranty. Although its not the best power supply on the market, 24.99$ after mail-in rebate is very good product for the money. I would recommend anybody to buy it from newegg as they provide very good support and fast shipping. (you will support BestPCReviews also just by going there by clicking at any newegg banner located on my website) Rosewill says that the power supply will work for 100000 hours. Pros: Low Price Nice Led Good Ventilation Cons: No Nvidia SLI Support Power Efficiency Bad Button on the peripheral power wires Advertise with BestPCReviews! Great Deals!
