Before I begin I would like to thank Rosewill for fast shipping and outstanding customer service.




The product came in a nice package as usual.

The Rosewill enclosure has two leds. Each led on each side. Blue led lights up for power and green led lights up for hdd loading.




Installing SATA Hard Drive into the enclosure was very easy. All you have to do is pull little switch on the external enclosure and the internal box for your hard drive will slide out. All you have to do is slide your hard drive to the power and sata connectors, secure hard drive with four supplied screws, put the internal box back in enclosure and you are done! The enclosure made of aluminium, so its very good for heat dissipation.



On the back of the enclosure there are two connectors. One is for sata type, another for USB. Power connector is above the USB and SATA connectors. The only thing I didn’t like about this enclosure is on/off switch. Its too little and if you will have this enclosure standing somewhere behind monitor, you might have some trouble finding the switch on the first week.





External enclosure comes with many accessories along with SATA PCI card.
If you are going to use USB connection, then the speed will be about 480 Mb/s. I suggest you to install the PCI card and use eSATA connection because your speed will be 3Gb/s and that is a big difference.





If you want two of your leds to be visible then I suggest you to put the enclosure in horizontal position. If you will put it in vertical position, you will have to make a choice what led will be visible. You can have blue power led visible that would be on all the time or have green light, but it will be visible only when you loading data to or from your hard drive.



Overall, its pretty nice looking hard drive enclosure.
If you want to have full sata connection to your external hard drive, this enclosure is for you.
