Metal Gear Solid V Phantom Pain PC Review
Phantom Pain got many good reviews on the internet. I decided to play the game and see how good it is.
STORY
You start playing in a hospital, trying to escape. I am not familiar with previous games of Metal Gear Solid, so probably some characters were not known to me. After escape from the hospital, which wasn’t bad at all, you pretty much go to your base on a ship and for missions you go to a desert.
Throughout the missions, you can kidnap soldiers and they will work for you later on. I am still confused for what purpose though.
To me the story was very repetitive. Besides the hospital, all missions were in Afghanistan in deserts. Missions include killing someone, rescuing someone, and taking something. There are many missions, but nearly every hostage, target, and item were very same to me. To be honest, I couldn’t even finish the game. It got boring to me very fast.
GRAPHICS
I played several games that came out in 2016 and graphics in Metal Gear Solid V could be better. Graphic performance is a bit dated. Also, playing at night time in the game, visibility is greatly reduced. It was even tough to say on a trail in the game.
REALISM
It’s tough, but you can defeat whole army by yourself by shooting everybody and going psycho. It’s easier to succeed, if you go in quiet. I’d say game overall is pretty realistic, but you will encounter some weird creatures from time to time.
RELIABILITY
I had no problems whatsoever with starting the game. Game ran fine with no issues at highest settings.
Should you buy the game? There are many positive reviews and ratings on this game. I think game would be wonderful if it wasn’t so repetitive. If you are Metal Gear Solid fan, I am sure you’ll enjoy it. If you are hungry for action, the game might not be for you.
