Medal of Honor Airborne Final Review
After Electronic Arts released 3 patches, I was able to play the game on my pc. Read full review… The game seems to have a nice story line and have nice graphic videos between the missions. Unfortunately that’s all good that it has. In this review, mostly you will see information about the game that will not make you happy, but will save you money because this game should not be brought. First of all, if you read my first review of the game, you will be able to see that I wasn’t able to review it because it was full of bugs, during one hour of gaming, the game froze up about 3 times. REQUIRED SYSTEM SPECIFICATIONS: • OS: Windows XP (SP2), Windows Vista (32-bit; 64-bit versions of Windows Vista are not supported) • CPU (Single Core): Intel P4 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon 2800+ for Windows XP / Intel P4 3.0 GHz or AMD Athlon 3800+ for Windows Vista • RAM: 1 GB for Windows XP / 1 GB for Windows Vista • Disk Drive*: 8X or faster DVD-ROM drive • Hard Drive: 9 GB or more of free space • Note: 64 bit versions of Windows are not supported • Video: DirectX 9.0c, NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT, ATI Radeon X1300 Pro, or better with Shader 3.0 support for Windows XP or Vista (Note: NVIDIA 6800XT, 6800LE, 7100GS, 7200GS, 7200LE, 7300GS, 7300GT cards not supported). NOTE: NVIDIA SLI and ATI Crossfire modes are not supported in Medal of Honor Airborne. • Sound: DirectX 9.0c compatible sound card (Note: For Creative Sound Blaster Audigy cards running under Windows Vista you should expect lower performance) • Multiplayer: 2 to 12 players, Internet connection required (Cable, DSL, or faster connection) One of the bugs was that many Vista users was not able to play this game on Vista at all. Now, you might wonder, well, Electronic Arts released three patches so now the game rocks! Well, it doesn’t. Patches Downloading patches was not easy at all. Here is the list of patches: Patch 1 Size: 87.2 MB Released: October 6, 2007 Patch 2 Size: 1.32 GB Released: December 14, 2007 Patch 3 Size: 1.05 GB Released: March 8, 2008 Downloading them from the main site is horrible. It took me about a week to download all of them, literally. First of all, the size is ridiculously huge and whenever I download second two patches, sometimes they will suddenly stop at 50% or even 75%. Patches did fix the problems with bugs. I didn’t have any problems running the game. But after playing Call of Duty Modern Warfare, I was not happy with Medal of Honor Airborne. The game play seemed just like other Medal of Honor series that came out couple years ago. The only improvement was that now every time you use a weapon, it gets upgrade points, and after awhile your weapon becomes better. The graphics seemed pretty bad for 2007-2008 years. Also, this game was very easy, you kill enemies just like you kill roaches, but it requires sometimes 5-10 bullets to hit the enemy in order for him to die. Don’t know about other opinions, but I hate this game. Leave comments if you agree or disagree with me. In my opinion this game is garbage, I like Electronic Arts, but they messed up with this game.
