The heatsink comes with fan controller that can help overclockers with performance and regular users to keep the computer run quiet. The heatsink works with most processor sockets available.

CPU Compatibility:

AMD AM2 – Sempron, Athlon 64, Athlon 64 X2, Athlon FX62, Opteron, Quad Core.
Intel LGA775 - Core 2 Quad Extreme, Core 2 Extreme, Core 2 DUO, Pentium(64), Pentium D, Pentium 4, Celeron.

Installation:

Installation was not easy in my case. Keep in mind that the heatsink is very tall. The height is 15.5 cm and I have a huge case. Even though I was able to install it, I had to turn off my side fan as it was touching the heat pipes of the heatsink. Also, if you have modern and performance motherboard, you might have some stuff around CPU bothering Sunbeamtech heatsink to be inserted in your processor socket.

Performance:

Sunbeamtech Core-Contact Freezer does a great job cooling computer. On AMD X2 5000+ temperature with regular heatsink was about 45c and after installing Core-Contact Freezer, the temperature was 39c.

Conclusion:

Sunbeamtech Core-Contact Freezer works well for overclockers and for average users. Keep in mind that your computer might not be compatible with such huge heatsink. The product cost about $40.
