G.Skill Sniper 16GB (2x8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 Memory Review

G.Skill Sniper 16GB (2x8GB) 240-Pin DDR3 Memory Review

Today we'll quickly take a look at a nice looking and very fast memory module, Sniper. Read full review...
The new Sniper series Memory module looks very cool and violent, showing what appears to be a bloody sword and a target at the corner of it. You'll also see a rifle looking figure that works as a heat-sink. The module I am looking at is F3-2400C11D-16GSR. This is the most expensive model in the Sniper series.

The heat spreader design is simple and yet works great at keeping the memory cool. You can overclock your system and not to have any issues with the memory. G.Skill offers Intel XMP Support, so you should have good experience with boosting up your system.

You'll also get a lifetime warranty with the module, which is a nice extra, but in my years I never ever had a memory module fail on me.

Keep in mind that price of that specific module is pretty high. You'll have to pay $155 for 16GB of memory. Is that a lot? Absolutely! I would recommend this module only to someone who can afford couple thousands of dollars of spending on a computer. If you are not that rich, go with a cheaper models, but you won't save much there. You can always get 8GB instead of 16GB for your system and that way you'll save about 50%.
